Comments: Looking for anyone whom I served with during my tour. I remember the day we came down on on alert at Ft. Bragg (Feb ’68). I believe we were at 90% strength when we left and 80% of us were second timers. I was with Task Force I and we left before Pres. Johnson started shaking hands and patting shoulders. I would like to make contact with those with whom I served. Unfortunately, names escape me (is there a unit roster or yearbook available?). So if you remember me, please email. Also, I will be in Washington, D.C. during the Veterans’ Day weekend to honor our fallen comrades.

Comments: Gentlemen, I was one of the pilots that went from Bragg to Chu Lai in 68.I may be wrong but seems like everyone has forgotten about the aircrews that supported the brigade in I Corps.I,on occaision flew the members of the brigade staff including BG Bolling on many missions. I would like to know if the Division carries a list of the crews that flew for the brigade and wether we (I) would be welcomed at any of the reunions. Comments: I am writing this for my friend, John Campbell. I met him at a ptsd group meeting. His unit was Co.A, 2/505. He has asked me to try to find ANY family member of Sgt. Robert G. Owens who was KIA on 10/6/68. In the process he saved SSGT Campbell life so he would like to write a letter to Sgt. Owens family. It would mean a lot to him. The only information that I have besides what I have already written is that Sgt. Owens was from Gasquet, CA. If you can help me out I am sure he would appreciate it. I know you probably don’t give a shit, but here is my background. I served with the 1st of the 5th Cav. from Aug.66-May67. At that time all airborne grunts were taken out of the 1st Air Calvary and either sent to the 173rd or the 101st. I ended up in the 173rd. The reason I say this is I WILL NOT look down on any unit, I don’t give a damn if you were from the 1st.Cav., 25th, Big Red One, 101st, 173rd or what ever. We all suffered and we are all brothers. Gary Slater By the way
