Comments: I have been looking for an 82nd web site for some time in hopes of finding old comrades and to see how they’ve been after all these years. Thank you for the web page, I will return often. It is a great tribute to the VietNam veterans that for so many years were ignored, despised and not appreciated. Well it’s about time. I know that for many years I put those experiences and images of the conflict behind curtains and filters, but it’s about time we all come out and be heard. Wellcome home to all my brothers and comrades and a moment of reflection and prayer for those that did not. I was with a an 81mm mortar platoon that worked out of FSB Hardcore and Hoc Mon bridge. Later in my tour we moved to a firebase north and west of Cu Chi. After a stand down of several weeks at Phu Loi, I returned to Ft. Bragg with the colors and then was released to the world. Again, wellcome home to all; we did a good job and gave our all.

Comments: I’m posting this for Gordon since he doesn’t have e mail. He asked me to try and locate Sgt Lemke from Minn, Gordon Barnes from Calif and Sgt. Mooi from maybe Chicago. Gordon served in the original deployment and was with Co. B 1/505th. He was a very close friend of my brother, Sgt John Plunkard and was with him when my brother was KIA 4-8-68 outside Hue’. Anyone who served with the original deployment, please contact me also. Vital information is needed. Does anyone know how to get daily reports from that period of time from the 101st Airborne? Comments: I was among the first of the legs to be assigned to the unit. My time with the 82nd both up north and down south was the proudist of my life. I’ve always felt less than until I found this page. I’m humbled by the memories brought back of serving with such a fine unit. To the man who cleared the grids for fire support, that traffic went over my radioes to the TOC centers. If we legs are welcome I look forward to the upcoming reunion. Will always be Proud To Say “ALL THE WAY”

Comments: hi, i am seeking information on Richard Maurice Beauregard. he served in the 82nd AA while training in the US prior to his deployment to Vietnam. he was in the states around ’67-’69. when over seas, he served in the Americal division. he was 17-18 years old while training with the 82nd. he is a fellow Rhode Islander and one of the 207 RI vets who died in Vietnam. i myself am a senior in high school and trying to find out about Richard’s life. one this i have noticed is that conflict between his actual death write up by the Americal division and his death notice that was sent here to RI in ’71. he was 19 when he died of wounds inflicted by a 105mm “daisy chain”, set up by the enemy. what was sent here was a notice that he died of illness in a hospital. if anyone has any information about him from when he served in the 82nd AA, it would be a great help. thank you
