We are ALL AMERICANS and proud of it. The uniform for the first day will be long pants and Golden Brigade polo shirts. They come in red, white and light and dark blue in all major sizes. If you don’t have one yet, contact our quartermaster, James Kiser at 910-893-9424 or email@example.com . He will have a good supply with him at Bragg also. Don’t forget a Golden Brigade hat. Bring lots of sunscreen, too.
No shorts, cut offs or flip flops at formal functions including the memorial service at the GBC memorial. Please save your cammies, bush hats and “been there, done that vests of many patches” for another occasion. We are expecting media coverage both locally and possibly nationally and want to show the world what real Nam vets look and act like.
There is the possibility that an Association member from the Chicago chapter may be in the area. He is an author and historian planning to do a history of the Golden Brigade based on trooper’s interviews and personal experiences rather than the “official” histories now in existence. His name is Steve Litteral. He is doing this on his own and is not sponsored or promoted by the 82nd Assn. or this Chapter. You are under no obligation to be interviewed by him. It is your call.
Please bring family and friends as this will be the only time that our sacrifices and contribution to the history of the 82nd Airborne Division will be recognized in such a large and public manner.
While we do not have the cost to the chapter for our share of the green ramp festivities and cost of the paintings, etc, your donations are welcome any time. Please make the check payable to the “Golden Brigade” and send to
