  1. Do you remember a David Cooper? Would love to hear from you or anyone who was there in 68 and 69.

  2. Dave – of course we remember you! I sent you an e-mail a couple of years ago to try and get you to our reunion in Charleston, WV. I was there, as was Bruce Kinzer, Bill Bonser, and Doc Wilson – it was a great time! Rick Talioaga usually shows up at the reunions and will also be in Biloxi. Arch Carpenter, Ross Franklin, Mike Hood, Jack Hamilton, Chip Bell, Bill Culp, Doc Jameison, Wes Dobbins, and others have shown. Nicky Castoro is in Staten Island (I’m still working on him to come to a reunion). I’ve also reached out to Bob Engel, Overton Jefferson, and Candy Chavez in the past – maybe I should try again. Johhny Cox is deceased. Don McPhail’s son, Sean, is in regular contact and has a Facebook page – mostly A 1/505 and has hundreds (thousands?) of photos – you’re in many of them (http://www.facebook.com/pages/1505th-Infantry-In-Vietnam/205370252887525#!/pages/1505th-Infantry-In-Vietnam/205370252887525?sk=photos click on ‘See All’). You should join the Chapter and come to the reunion in Biloxi – it’s cleansing and familiar faces and times come like they were yesterday. But, there will be no peaches and pound cake there!

  3. Dave,
Are you still in Georgia. In the middle 70′s we lived in Baton Rouge and are still big LSU fans. When they played Georgia this year I thought of you. Hey 2nd platoon A 1/505 was the best of the best. I have seen Bonser and Tommy wright in the last year and talked on the phone with Candy, Vardady and Castoro. Still the same great first class guys.

  4. Nice to see so many of you guys are still getting together. I was able to make a reunion at Bragg a few years ago and the 40th in Dallas but didn’t see anyone from the 1/505, escpecially A Co. I commanded you guys in the field for about a month and a half around HUE before getting wounded and medivacted to Japan and eventually back to Bragg in April. I took over from Lt Adams when he was wounded, I had been commanding HQ Co.as this was my 2d tour, the first was with the 101st. My e-mail is besutcliffe@verizon.net and would love to hear from any of you.
